INTRODUCTION TO TEAMBUILDING

The benefits of a well-functioning team are well documented: Greater accuracy
and effectiveness; a higher level of energy and commitment; and workers who feel
that their roles are meaningful and significant. This workshop is designed to
help participants develop and practice the skills needed to produce these
results.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

| Identify obstacles to building an effective team. | |
| Develop strategies to resolve conflict among team members. | |
| Use coping mechanisms to more effectively deal with difficult team members. | |
| Identify one's conflict management style. | |
| Identify the appropriate use of various conflict management style. | |
| Use active listening skills to resolve conflict. | |
| Use assertive language skills in effective confrontation. | |
| Develop strategies to manage negative competition within a team or between teams. |
