COURSE
TITLE:
STRESS MANAGEMENT
COURSE LENGTH:
TWO DAYS
Hans Selye, the physician who first studied the indirect physical effects of
stress, observed that stress is an inevitable part of human life. The only way
to totally escape stress is to die. Although it is not desirable to eliminate
all stress from one's life, the goal of this course is to help participants
develop strategies to eliminate some of the undesirable stressors and develop
strategies for coping with the remaining unavoidable stress.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
| Identify the various causes of stress. | |
| Develop a personal stress profile. | |
| Develop strategies to decrease stress through more effective planning and organizing. | |
| Develop strategies to decrease stress through one's thought processes. | |
| Use physical relaxation procedures. | |
| Develop a stress management plan. |
